About the Author

Redmond Reams, PhD, licensed psychologist, has been on the faculty of Texas A&M University, Portland State University and Oregon Health Sciences University. He has provided psychotherapy to children and their families for over 40 years, including numerous foster children moving to adoptive homes, and has consulted to child welfare staff on many adoptive transitions. He has also published multiple research papers on adoptive transitions.
